In March 2019 we conducted a survey of over 100 health workers across Aotearoa, with the intention of gathering perspectives and the experiences of health workers at our jobs. We hope the information provided will help health workers identify common threads in our working lives and support our struggle for solidarity across the health sector.
We asked questions about respondents’ role and workplace. We were also interested in the role of unions in the workplace. To ensure the resulting data was manageable and comparable, we limited the inquiry to investigating employment in any type of healthcare environment in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We are in the process of writing up a report based on the rich and diverse we collected from our respondents to the inquiry. We hope to have something published soon – watch this space!
